The perpetual stream of television news channels is captured and vividly rendered live upon the surfaces of 3D shapes within a virtual reality environment. Words, phrases, gestures, facial expressions, and symbolic images from advertisements lose their original context through incessant repetition and parallel display, beginning to influence one another as they navigate and rebound within the 3D space. The outcome is a chronicle of newsworthy events, temporally dislocated and presented in a frenetic fashion, employing the same glittering aesthetics utilized by news channels to draw in viewers. Herein, the meticulously crafted corporate identity, the captivating images of advertisements, and the scintillating videographic allure of news channels paradoxically demolish their own content.Artist in residence project, production of Netherlands Media Art Institute Montevideo/Time Based Arts
